Children's Play Centre

February 2025

Children learn through play. The centre will provide a safe place where they can make new friends; learn to respect and show kindness to others; and develop new skills, accompanied by their parents/ guardians and supervised by trained staff.

Planned play activities would provide important learning opportunities for young children, including:

  • Soft play area: Gross motor skills e.g. stability, balance, coordination, social skills

  • Role play area: Exploring real world activities, co-operative play, communication, literacy and numeracy development

  • Sensory room: Exploring sensations, emotion management

  • Lego room: Imaginative design, fine motor skills

  • Interior design: Expressive art

  • Reading corner: Quiet time, literacy

  • Outside: Wildlife and nature, counting activities

A small café would serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.
